It’s mid-January and, baby, it’s cold outside! Of course we’re thinking of travel to exotic, warm locales. And who wouldn’t like to research their vacation and then travel in style? Well, thankfully, there are many beautifully designed travel guides that make reading about remote destinations almost as much fun as visiting them.
We’re very fortunate to have an upcoming talk by the always inspiring and ever thought-provoking artist, Sean George. Design, A Cautionary Tale: An Interactive Presentation on Design and Personal Ethics will be the title of Sean’s talk. “My hope is to intertwine my own personal story with a discussion on ethics in design that will be meaningful, fun and interesting for VFS Digital Design students”, said Sean. “I will touch upon the work of McKenzie Wark referencing his book Gamer Theory to talk a bit about the relationship of history, theory, ethics and design.”
Date: Thursday, January 12th
Time: 4:30pm to 5:30pm
Location: VFS, 420 Homer Street (between Pender & Hastings Streets), Main Theatre
Interested? The talk is open to VFS students, faculty and guests. If you would like to attend, please RSVP.
