Before I Die Chalkboard

I came across this interactive chalkboard down on our local sea-walk in Gibsons, BC, after my friend Cody Robinson Facebooked about it. In the photograph, you can see Gibsons pier and the mountains in the background. I was impressed with how simple the idea was and how far-spread the idea has become.

With just a few words on black and white we have been inspired to think, share  and interact on a potentially global scale — even, if I may modestly say, in small-town Gibsons, BC, on the Sunshine Coast. Bravo to the person who downloaded the Before I Die Took Kit, set it up and gave us the opportunity to participate.

Before I Die is an interactive public art project that invites people to share their hopes and dreams in public space. See Candy Chang‘s website to find out about how she started the project. And to see how different cities respond to the blackboard check out the Before I Die Project Site.
