Vine Star Meagan Cignoli

About a month ago I downloaded the Vine app on my phone. The final project of VFS’s Motion 1 class is to create a 20-40 second stop motion video. So Vine is a great source of inspiration for this assignment. It also gives me a way to practice making the videos on my own. It is a lot of fun to use. It is like Instagram but instead of pictures, it uses five-seconds of video. The app is so simple to use that it makes stop motion possible for almost anyone.

One of my favorite Vine users to follow is fashion photographer, Meagan Cignoli.

iQmetrix’s XQ Browse is a hit at CTIA Wireless 2012

VFS Digital Design alumna (and past Impact Award winner) Cherie Korol is feeling pretty proud right now about iQmetrix’s XQ Browse for iPad design being such a hit at the International CTIA Wireless 2012 convention last week (May 7 – 10, 2012 at Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, Louisiana).

Cherie tells us: “I was tasked with writing the requirements (designing the wireframes) and creating the over all look and feel (Interface design) for the XQ Browse for iPad. Optimized for iPad 1/2 & 3, XQ Browse was unveiled this week at CTIA Wireless as part of a bigger retail solution showcase.”

“You may be familiar with our desktop offering of Browse, which was already in place before I started here at iQmetrix. I was tasked with bringing Browse to the tablet space late last year and have been working on it since. I worked closely with (Digital Design Industry Mentor) Anne Forkutza to solidify the requirements and bring the project to fruition. Although Browse tablet is now just in beta, we’ll be moving forward with making it a permanent part of our retail solution here at iQmetrix. I’m very happy to have worked on the project, and feel somewhat beside myself when I see people using and testing Browse on the New iPads. Livin’ the dream :)
