Chilean-ing Out at the Magic Mountain Lodge

The DD21s just submitted their grad projects. Let me tell you, they could certainly use a vacation! How cool would it be if we all took a trip to the Magic Mountain Lodge?! Sounds like a Disneyland ride.

The lodge is part of the Huilo-Huilo Hotel complex. Built by local artisans from the Chilean communities of  Neltume and Puerto Fuy using indigenous materials, the lodge is meant to look like a mystical mountain.

This 13 room hotel is located in the middle of the Andes, within Patagonia, on the is Huilo Huilo Biological Reserve, a private protected area with 100,000 hectares of native forest that supports a diverse natural habitat.

Check out the rope bridge and the cascading waterfall from the roof. Now, that’s a vacation! Come on DD21 – pack your bags – let’s go!
