Duelity, the grad project of former VFS students, Ryan Uhrich and Boca Ceravolo, has got a lot of attention since it was first completed in 2007. In February of 2008, it was the subject of discussion on Directors Notes, a weekly podcast about independent filmmaking. In the following years Duelity was mentioned on a number of various blogs (OpenCulture, Infosthetics, BrainPickiings, CoolHunting, Palaeoblog, Ticklebooth, FPSMagazine, Motionographer). It won a PopVox award in 2007, and in 2008 it won an Adobe Design Achievement Award, an Animex Award, and a Salazar Award.
Now, an infographic video on Duelity by Ryan and Boca has been published in Informotion: Animated Infographics (Gestalten; Har/Psc edition), which is touted as “the first reference book on the fundamentals of animated information graphics.”
“Each book contains a unique log-in code for accessing a wide selection of animated information graphics as well as their making-of videos online.”
Ryan and Boca’s Duelity presents the two main arguments for the origins of man on the Duelity Website — as videos you can watch individually, or as a split-screen piece, such as is shown below.
Congratulations once again to Ryan and Boca for all of their success!
